At CityLight, we believe that the very heart of God is missions.
The birth of our ministry was formed in the heart of our pastor from the passage in Romans 10:14-17, specifically, “how shall they hear without a preacher?” All through the Biblical text, God was sending someone to groups of people to spread His message.
With this in mind, we make a high priority of the Great Commission: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20

Again reiterated in Acts 1:8 - But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Our missions effort is divided into three categories:
Matthew 28:19
Jerusalem - We want to be active witnesses to the grace of Jesus in our lives, both in acts of service and through personal testimony. Our church family is provided with scheduled opportunities to share their faith, resourced to be a witness for Christ, and given opportunities to share the love of Jesus through service opportunities.
Judea and Samaria - Currently, we help to fund local missions through church planting endeavors - both through one time gifts and long standing support.
Uttermost - We believe that we are suppose to be a church that not only reaches those we can see and touch but that makes an impact globally. We have a robust missions program that supports missionaries globally. Those who are serving on foreign fields or are supported consistently are listed below:
